      Wheeler Hardin Andrews was born 1 January 1921 in Mulberry Arkansas, the son of Henry Jackson and Della Autry Andrews.  He grew up with five brothers and sisters: Wallace A.; Harrison A;
John Henry; Opal and Edna. He attended the Vanndale School and worked on a farm before entering the military .
     Wheeler was inducted into the Navy 17 March 1945 and served on the following vessels and stations: SCOLS and TRNG COMD USNT ADC, Williamsburg, Virginia; the USS Newberry (APA 158) and the USNRS, New Orleans, Louisiana. He was discharged 25 March 1946.
    He returned to Cross County and resumed farming.  He married Virginia Green and they were the parents of Irene, Bessie, Philip, Rhonda and Jackie.
    Wheeler Hardin Andrews died 19 February 1994 and was buried in the Vanndale Cemetery , Vanndale, Arkansas.
