            Marvin Allen Gilham was born 25 February, 1937 in Floyd, Arkansas, the son of Velma Johnson and Charlie Lee Gilham.    He attended schools in Beebe and graduated from Wynne High School.    Later, he continued his education at Hendrix and Central College in Conway, Arkansas.    He served in the U.S. Air Force and was an insurance agent for many years.    In earlier years, he was employed as a buyer for Malone & Hyde Grocery Company in Memphis, Tennessee.    He enjoyed traveling, tutoring and flying airplanes.

            Gilham had two brothers, Ray and Cecil and one sister, Jerri Lynn.

            Marvin Allen Gilham died 12 March 2003 and was buried in Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne, Arkansas.
