            David Paul Martens was born 23 August 1944 in Biloxi, MS the son of Helen Ruth Tippy and George Paul Martens. He attended school in Park Ridge, IL and was a 1962 graduate of Main East School and continued his education at the Ripon College in Kenotha, Wisconsin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and for the past forty years was a truck driver. At the time of his death, he was working for the Allstar Ready Mix Company in Nevada. He was married 24 December 1985 to Fay Harrell and they had one daughter, Michelle, and two sons, Martin Ray and John Lawrence. He had two brothers, Douglas and Roger.

            David Paul Martens died 18 October 2001 and was buried in Harris Chapel Cemetery in Wynne.
