     Eddie Shaw was born 27 October 1924 in Ratio, Arkansas, the son of Willie and Corena Campbell Shaw. He grew up with eight brothers and sisters: Arthur C., Charlie, Willie L., Ruthie, Lorine, Alvin, C1assie and Vera.   Eddie attended J.C. Corbin High School, Pine Bluff, Arkansas; University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Arkansas and University of Central Arkansas, Conway, Arkansas. He, also, worked on a farm.
    Eddie entered the Navy 23 January 1943 and served unti1  13 Apri1 1946.  He earned the World War II Victory Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Medal with one Battle Star, and the American Campaign Medal.
    Eddie married Edna Lee Fuller and they have five children: Carolyn, Charles, Fannye, William and Joseph M.   He is a teacher and a school administrator.  Eddie makes his home in Parkin, Arkansas where he enjoys fishing, gardening and walking.
