      William Allen Shaw was born 3 November 1958 in Wynne,
Arkansas, the son of Eddie and Edna Lee Fuller Shaw. His
brothers and sisters were Carolyn L., Charles E., Fannye A.J., and Joseph M.     William attended Parkin High School.
    William joined the Navy 11 January 1979 and trained in schools at NRD, San Diego, California; FMSS, Camp Pendleton, California; 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California; Aero Space, edocone Technician School, Pensacola, Florida; and the Naval Hospital, Millington, Tennessee. William was discharged 1 June 1999 having earned the Navy Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with two Stars. the Good Conduct Ribbon with four Stars, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Southwest Asia Service Medal with one Bronze Star.
    William and his wife, Debra, have three children: Rachel, Chandra and Raven. He works as a Cardiovascular Technician and enjoys fishing, gardening and golf
