      Harry Edison "Pappy" Marshall was born 26 June 1912 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the son of Henry Edison and Myrtle Holmes Marshall.  He grew up with one sister, Mildred M. Gee.
    Harry married Pearl Wilks, and they were the parents of four children. Harry went to work for Firestone Tire Company in Memphis, Tennessee, as an inspector.
    He was inducted into the Navy 14 March 1944.  Firestone petitioned the Navy for his release as an essential wartime worker, and he was discharged 15 September 1944.
    Harry returned to Firestone and did his part by insuring that our troops had an adequate supply of tires.
    Harry Edison Marshall died 25 August 1975 in Wynne, Arkansas and was buried in Crosslawn Cemetery .
