     Charles A. Schultz was born 17 September 1891 in Ohio, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl August Schultz.  Charles' parents were born in Germany and emigrated to the United States shortly before he was born. His family moved a good deal, but his education was mostly at Fisher and Hickory Ridge Schools. Before joining the Army, Charles worked on a farm.
    Charles joined the Army 1 June 1919 and spent two years in the Quartermaster Corps. He was discharged in 1921.
   After the Army, he was owner and operator of a welding shop.  He married Hattie Green and they had two children, Tereasa and C.A.
    Charles A. Schultz died 12 Apri11974 and was buried in Lewis Cemetery, near Hickory Ridge, Arkansas
